Just Horse'n Around

My first drawing on my new Cintiq 13HD!
Thought I'd start with something basic. There is definitely more control and accuracy with the Cintiq. I plan to a lot more experimenting with my new toy!!

Griffens Galore

Well, it's been a while since I last posted, but now I'm free(er) to start doing my own doodles. These are just a few characters I've been coming up with for, hopefully, a future story.

Ice Cream

A little doodle to celebrate the wonderful sun we've been having. Come on summer!!

Haunted House

A doodle I did during a lecture and touched up later in photoshop.

Chase The Dog

One of the projects during my second year at University was to design a character.

I chose Chase, the loveable and loyal hound whose been running around in my doodle books for a good many years now, so I thought I'd finally give him the chance to leap out of the pages and come to life a bit more.

Hopefully you'll be able to understand the story, but for those who don't, I'll explain...

Initial Chase Designs

Turn Around Sheets

Part of the project was to include a posed model of our character. I used a mini screw driving kit to add details; mouth, fur, etc.

We also needed to develop a walk cycle and Animatic featuring our character in a scenario that best presents their personality.

The sequence follows Chase as he searches for his owner by tracking his scent. He discovers an item belonging to his owner as well as a footprint trail. But when it suddenly rains the trail begins to fade, and so Chase must hurry before he looses the scent of his owner again.

Fly Like A Bird

Finally my friends birthday has been and gone, so I can now post the card I made for her...(she likes birds)...

Dino-Pug!

My friend asked me to draw her friend as a Pug in a Dinosaur costume riding a skateboard...(don't ask me why!?)...But here is the final result.
